Verna Leigh Ellzey Vines, age 70, widow of David Morgan, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Wells Funeral Home Batesville, MS with Reverend Jay Anderson presiding. Interment will follow in Springdale Cemetery in Oxford, MS. Ms. Vines was born on September 25, 1940 in Serepta, MS to Murray and Eva Sartain Ellzey. She was an LPN for over 30 years and was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Morgan of Oxford, MS; son, Rodney Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister, Janie Ellzey White of Courtland, MS; her mother, Eva Sartain Ellzey, of Batesville, MS; 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
